The College of Rehabilitation Sciences celebrated the accomplishments of students in the occupational therapy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy and MSc rehabilitation sciences programs in virtual Winter Awards Ceremony on March 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 43 awards and scholarships were won by 38 students. Most had received their certificate in the mail prior to the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maureen Walker, physical therapy faculty member and chair of the awards committee, welcomed students to the event, the first time the winter awards were held virtually (in November 2020 a virtual awards ceremony was held along with convocation).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRegardless of the format, it is important that we acknowledge the accomplishments of these students,\u201d Waker said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

College dean Dr. Reg Urbanowski also greeted the students, as well as those presenting the awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think your attendance is a testament to the support we have in the community,\u201d he said to the donors and presenters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
