A department of preventive dental science holiday lunch recently took place.
Dr. Keri Discepolo, clinical associate professor of pediatric dentistry; director, advanced education program in pediatric dentistry; and chair, department of pediatric dentistry at Boston University, visited the UM dental college in September. She gave a lecture to staff and post-graduates in the department of preventive dental science. The talk was titled ‘Special considerations for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities undergoing general anesthesia.’
On July 2, Dr. Billy Wiltshire, department head of preventative dental science; division head of orthodontics; and program director of graduate orthodontics, (left) and Dr. Jim Ksionzyk, acting program director, pediatric dentistry graduate program, (right) welcomed new pediatric dental specialty residents, Dr. Navnoor Mann and Dr. Esra Karakaya, on the first day of their 36 month full-time program.
