Faculty, staff and students from the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry had a fun-filled time at the annual Sports Day.
On Aug. 23, about 200 people took part in a kickball tournament at the Old Exhibition Grounds. Each class formed a team along with a faculty team.
The event was organized by fourth-year dental students Bryan Kwak and Brett Starosilec – who are the directors of athletic endeavours with the Manitoba Dental Student Association (MDSA) – with support from all MDSA council members.
“It’s always a great time to bring everyone together for some friendly competition and to socialize. Events like this help build a sense of community, and I hope this tradition continues for many years to come,” Kwak said.
“This event is one of the most memorable moments of the year for many, and we always look forward to it. It offers a fantastic opportunity to unwind, have fun and strengthen connections outside the academic setting.”
The tournament wrapped up with a barbecue lunch organized by the MDSA.
