A department of preventive dental science holiday lunch recently took place. <\/p>\n\n\n

Dr. Keri Discepolo<\/strong>, clinical associate professor of pediatric dentistry; director, advanced education program in pediatric dentistry; and chair, department of pediatric dentistry at Boston University, visited the UM dental college in September. She gave a lecture to staff and post-graduates in the department of preventive dental science. The talk was titled ‘Special considerations for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities undergoing general anesthesia.’ <\/p>\n\n\n

On July 2, Dr. Billy Wiltshire<\/strong>, department head of preventative dental science; division head of orthodontics; and program director of graduate orthodontics, (left) and Dr. Jim Ksionzyk<\/strong>, acting program director, pediatric dentistry graduate program, (right) welcomed new pediatric dental specialty residents, Dr. Navnoor Mann<\/strong> and Dr. Esra Karakaya<\/strong>, on the first day of their 36 month full-time program.<\/p>\n\n\n
