Dr. Robert Schroth<\/strong>, professor of preventive dental science, successfully completed the American Board of Dental Public Health Oral Certifying Examination in April 2024 and is now a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health, which is the certifying board for dental public health specialists in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awards presented at the 2024 Manitoba Dental Association Gala: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Craig Fedorwich<\/strong> [DMD\/86] <\/strong>received the President’s Award of Merit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Leland McFadden<\/strong>, assistant professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery, was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Craig Fedorowich<\/strong>, DMD Class of 1986, and Dr. Huma Sharief<\/strong>, DMD Class of 2014, received Canadian Dental Association Mentorship Advancement Awards in recognition of outstanding contributions to the dental profession.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n

Md Mahamudul Haque<\/strong>, a PhD student in oral biology, received a 2024 graduate studentship, which is a scholarship available to Rady Faculty of Health Sciences graduate students in their first or second year of a thesis-based master\u2019s or doctoral program. Dr. Mohamed El Azrak<\/strong> received the 2023-2024 Dr. Keith Titley Pediatric Dental Graduate Training Scholarship, awarded by the Canadian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. This scholarship supports advanced training in the area of research and fellowship in pediatric dentistry in Canada and is awarded to a graduate student in their final year of an accredited Canadian advanced training program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
