Armah, N., PhD candidate (Faculty co-advisors: Dr. Marnie Kramer & Dr. Christina West), received the Edith Anderson Leadership Education Grant, Sigma Foundation for Nursing Leadership Education, Sigma Theta Tau International for $1,000 USD.

Bochen, K. (Advisor: Dr. Marnie Kramer; Internal committee member: Dr. Genevieve Thompson; External committee member: Dr. Christopher Fries; External committee member: Dr. Davinder Jassal) successfully completed their Master of Nursing Oral Thesis Defense, Beyond the diagnosis: Women’s experiences of cardiotoxicity secondary to cancer treatment, December 17, 2025.

Bourque, M., PhD student (Faculty advisor: Dr. Mandy Archibald) was selected as a top 6 abstract submission for Bridging research and practice through living labs in child health: A systematic review and received an honourable mention award for their presentation in Dr. Goodbear’s Den during the 21st annual Child Health Research Days, October 21-23, 2026.

Fadare, O. (Primary Advisor: Dr. Nicole Harder; Secondary Advisor: Kim Sefton), successfully defended their Master of Nursing Capstone Oral Presentation, An environmental scan of current practices for preparation and support of nurse preceptors for nursing students in final practicums, February 10, 2026.

Gelfman, Y., PhD student (Faculty Advisor: Dr. Genevieve Thompson), received a PhD in Nursing Fellowship, College of Nursing, University of Manitoba for $1,000.

Gelfman, Y., PhD student (Faculty Advisor: Dr. Genevieve Thompson), received the Greene Memorial Fellowship for $9,580.

Gelfman, Y., PhD student (Faculty advisor: Dr. Genevieve Thompson), received the Foundation for Registered Nurses of Manitoba Inc. Graduate Award for $2,250.

Jones, J., MN student (Faculty advisor: Dr. Lynda Balneaves), received the Foundation for Registered Nurses of Manitoba Inc. Graduate Award for $2,250.

Pham, S., NP student (Faculty advisor: Dr. Geneveive Thompson), received the NPAM Student Scholarship for $250.
