Dean’s message (September 2026)

As I settle into my new role as dean of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences, I want to begin by thanking you for the warm welcome I have received from faculty, staff, students, alumni and community partners. Over these first few months, I have had the opportunity to meet many members of our community, and each conversation has reinforced what makes this college so special: the people.

I have been inspired by the passion our students bring to their learning, the dedication of our faculty and staff, and the college’s commitment to improving health, participation, and well-being for individuals, families, and communities. Whether through teaching, research, clinical practice, innovation, or service, we share a purpose that is both energizing and inspiring.

The stories featured in this newsletter reflect that spirit. They highlight our researchers’ creativity, our faculty’s leadership, our students’ and alumni’s accomplishments, and the meaningful partnerships that extend our impact beyond the university.

I believe that our greatest strengths emerge when we learn from one another and work together toward common goals. I am excited about the opportunities ahead and about supporting the innovative initiatives taking shape across the college.

If we have not yet met, I would welcome the opportunity to connect. Please do not hesitate to reach out, introduce yourself, or share your ideas and aspirations for the future of the college.  look forward to learning from and working alongside all of you.
