Bannatyne Stitches: A Crafting Community for Everyone

If you’re a crafting enthusiast at Bannatyne Campus, Bannatyne Stitches invites you to join a vibrant community of knitters, crocheters, beaders, embroiderers, and cross-stitchers. This inclusive group meets on the last working Wednesday of each month, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in the Neil John Maclean Health Sciences Library, Kerr Boardroom (Room 225).

Upcoming dates include October 30, November 27 and December 18, and continue through June 25, 2025. Each session offers a dedicated hour where members can bring their current projects and share their skills in a supportive environment. While formal instruction isn’t provided, the community thrives on mutual support and the joy of sharing creative journeys.

For those who can’t attend in person, Bannatyne Stitches has an active Microsoft Teams group. This virtual platform allows members to participate remotely, ensuring that no one misses out on the fun or the opportunity to connect with like-minded crafters.

Whether you’re looking to unwind with your craft or find inspiration among fellow enthusiasts, Bannatyne Stitches provides a welcoming space for all. To join or for more information, please reach out via our Microsoft Teams group or respond to the Bannatyne Stitches organizer’s email (carol.cooke@umanitoba.ca).

Come stitch up some fun and creativity with us!
