On Nov. 11, nine graduate students from the College of Nursing volunteered at Agape Table, an independent, charitable, non-profit organization that feeds vulnerable people in the city. Volunteers assisted with serving breakfast, clearing tables, sorting through food donations and getting to know some of the people who use the organization’s services. They also raised approximately 30 boxes of feminine hygiene product donations.
“As nurses, we want to give back to the community where there are needs, as well as create a positive image of both the nursing and advanced nursing profession,” said Stephanie Bastone, who organized the volunteer event.
