Canadian Association of Pharmacy Students and Interns updates

Over the past several months, University of Manitoba students had the opportunity to compete at a variety of Canadian Association of Pharmacy Students and Interns (CAPSI) competitions and receive awards or recognition.

Congratulations to Neesha Diocee who took home first place in both the OTC and patient interview competitions, and to Robin Rai for his essay exploring edible cannabis overdoses. Robin will be able to represent Manitoba nationally in 2021.

Congratulations also to our CAPSI national award winners, Christine Vaccaro and Megha Kaushal. Christine, CAPSI national’s next president-elect for the 2021-2022 year, received the Guy Genest Passion for Pharmacy Award for her notable passion for, and dedication to, the profession of pharmacy. Megha received the CSHP-CAPSI Hospital Pharmacy Award for her commitment, dedication, and positive attitude toward academic learning and the profession and practice of hospital pharmacy.
