Fourth-year students Jakub Kornowski and Viacheslav Panchenko experienced a unique one-day clinical placement at the Pinaymootang Health Centre with preceptor Dan Kyrzyk from LifeSmart Pharmacy.
At the Health Centre, the students assisted with several tests on patients, explained the meaning of the test numbers, and counselled them on their significance when appropriate. They also offered patient counselling on all the medications throughout the clinic day.
This rewarding experience is one they say they will not soon forget!
