Emotional support dogs planned for Bannatyne campus

Staff members Natalie Scofield-Singh and Niki Riches have been successful in receiving a Success through Wellness grant for “PAWS for a Smile!” a project centred on connecting the Bannatyne community with therapy dogs from St. John Ambulance. The grant is provided by the University of Manitoba in support of campus mental health.

This new endeavour will bring emotional support dogs to campus and encourage students, staff and faculty to come by and reduce their stress levels and anxiety though animal therapy.

The project will launch when it is once again safe to have social gatherings on the Bannatyne campus.
