This fall, Steele’s Apothecary in the College of Pharmacy hosted its first flu clinic since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

On Oct. 25 and 28, more than 270 staff, students and faculty rolled up their sleeves to get vaccinated against influenza. The clinic was held on a walk-in basis from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the response was better than expected.

The flu clinic was a great opportunity for the College of Pharmacy students to practice their injection skills and to help keep their communities healthy. Several staff and instructors helped organize and supervise the flu clinic along with nearly 30 student volunteers administering doses.

Everyone’s participation was sincerely appreciated and the College of Pharmacy looks forward to hosting the flu clinic again next year!
