On January 14, 2021, the College of Pharmacy participated in its annual career fair. Due to COVID-19, the format of our annual career fair was different in comparison to previous years and it was held in a virtual format for the first time ever.
Companies and organizations attended the event including Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall, Save on Foods, Safeway/Sobeys, Co-Op, Pharmasave, Rubicon, Manitoba Healthcare Provider Network, and Loblaws Pharmacy.
The career fair offers organizations and undergraduate pharmacy students the opportunity to network. For first- and second-year students, this event provided valuable information about summer opportunities, established relationships, and familiarized them with the various domains of pharmacy practice across the province. This event is especially important for fourth-year students who are seeking in-depth information on career options as graduation approaches.
