Dr. Cedric Tremblay joins department of immunology

Dr. Cedric Tremblay has joined the department of immunology as an assistant professor and has taken on the role of principal investigator at the CancerCare Manitoba Research Institute.

Tremblay completed his PhD at Laval University in 2008. He was awarded a Terry Fox Foundation fellowship from the Canadian Cancer Society for his postdoctoral work at the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer at Université de Montréal.

In 2011, he joined the Stem Cell Research group at the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases at Monash University. He was appointed as a research fellow in 2015, after receiving a Grant-in Aid from the Leukaemia Foundation of Australia to establish a research program focused on T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

His current research program utilizes single-cell multi-omic approaches to investigate the molecular mechanisms that control the fate of normal and malignant hematopoietic stem cells.
