FACULTY

Dr. Denice Bay, associate professor of medical microbiology and infectious diseases, was appointed associate department head, graduate studies in January 2024.

Dr. Amanda Condon, associate professor of family medicine, was appointed department head – family medicine, Max Rady College of Medicine, and provincial specialty lead – family medicine, Shared Health. Read more.

Dr. Evelyn Forget, professor of community health sciences, has taken on the role of associate head, community health sciences.

Dr. Aviva Goldberg, professor of pediatrics and child health, was appointed associate dean, Student Affairs, Max Rady College of Medicine. Read more.

Dr. Ana Hanlon-Dearman, professor of pediatrics and child health, was appointed assistant dean, PGME student affairs, Max Rady College of Medicine. Read more.

STAFF

The Brandon Satellite Program bids a fond farewell to program administrator Bailey Preston as he embarks on a new career. He is very knowledgeable, offered fresh ideas and a youthful insight. Preston is a solid team player and will be greatly missed. Best wishes from the Brandon Satellite Program!

Staff changes in the lab of Dr. Meghan Azad, professor of pediatrics and child health and Canada Research Chair in developmental origins of chronic disease:

  • New members include Sarah Bridgeman, research associate, Alie Johnson, MILC research coordinator and Zahra Nouri, biorepository technician.
  • Natalie Rodriguez, co-director of the THRiVE Discovery Lab, has accepted a new position at the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus, starting April 5th. Rodriguez has led and contributed to many key initiatives that have been integral to advancing the THRiVE lab and Dr. Azad’s projects. The lab wishes her all the best in her new role.
