News from the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program

Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) Interview Day

The first in-person Interview Day for admissions since the COVID-19 pandemic began took place in April. Interview Day takes a large community effort from the physician assistants, faculty, staff and volunteers to ensure the day is successful. MPAS would like to thank all physician assistants, staff, faculty, students and community members for participating and donating their valuable time towards choosing the next generation of physician assistant learners for the MPAS class of 2025. We thank you for all the hard work and help provided, to have such a successful turnout.

Saskatchewan introduces legislation to license physician assistants

Saskatchewan has approved physician assistants for license and regulation in the province and is planning to immediately open 12 new positions. MPAS is excited for the provincial integration of physician assistants across Canada and supports the professional expansion.

Reminder about MPAS Crowd Funding Page

MPAS is fundraising for physician assistant student awards as part of the department of family medicine’s 50th anniversary. With your support, we can decrease the financial burden on MPAS students and help ensure that our graduates continue to excel at providing patient care for Manitobans.
