Welcome!

Rebecca Mueller

Rebecca Mueller joined the master of physician assistant studies program (MPAS) in May as the academic coordinator (Instructor II).

Rebecca began her career in 2001 as a nurse in long-term care and internal medicine. In 2010, she graduated from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science master of physician assistant program and began working at Grey Bruce Health Services Cancer Care Center in Ontario.

After five years, she narrowed her clinical focus to palliative care and created and managed a 24-hour palliative care service for Brampton, ON providing in-home, in-hospital and hospice palliative services. In 2016, Rebecca began teaching in the McMaster University physician assistant education program and guest lecturing at both the University of St. Catherine and Rosalind Franklin University PA programs in the United States.

Over the last three years, she worked as a medical writer and content expert in the field of oncology and hematology for a variety of international educational and publishing companies.  Most recently, she has supported the development of the Journal of Canada’s Physician Assistants, an open access journal sponsored by UM, and with the MPAS students capstone research projects.

Rebecca is grateful for the opportunity to join the MPAS program and is looking forward to exploring her new home in Winnipeg.
