A training program designed to ensure that Manitoba health-care workers provide culturally safe care to Indigenous patients has been developed by Ongomiizwin, the Indigenous Institute of Health and Healing in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, in partnership with Manitoba’s health system organizations.

Dentistry alum Gerald Niznick [DMD/66, D.Sc./02] and his wife Reesa have made a landmark gift to UM, contributing $5 million to leading-edge dental clinics to be located in a new building on the Bannatyne campus.

Four professors from the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences were named among Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women of 2024. The annual list is compiled by the Women’s Executive Network, a national organization that celebrates the advancement of women.
